Homecoming Activities

Cooperating weather, good parade participation, and a football  victory over KC East football team, 84-82 Friday evening provided a great setting for Homecoming activities.   Loyal Panther supporters Carl and Norma Crone served as Grand Marshalls of the parade.   Norma's health prevented her from riding in the parade, but the school appreciates the support shown throughout the years.   It was a "family affair" for the color guard.  Harold Allison, a retired National Guard member, current guard members, Daughter Kassie Nichols, Son-in-law Nate Nichols, and grandson Bradyn Gardner led the parade.

Darian Harmon was crowned homecoming queen during halftime festivities at the game.  Winning the float competition was the 7th and 8th grade float using the Wizard of Oz, "Cowardly Lion"  theme.   Finshing second place were the juniors and seniors, followed by the freshmen and sophomores placing third.   Battle of the Classes was won by the freshman class.  Second place honor was received by the eight graders, while the juniors placed third.  Receiving the spirit award during the pep rally after the parade was the sophomores.

The royal court included freshman attendants  Angelina Anderson and Clark Adler; sophomores:  Kirsten Slessman and Connor Ireland; juniors:  Britanie Middaugh and Mitchell Begley;  queen candidates:  Brooklyn Adams and Darian Harmon; and first grade attendants Riley Thrash and Havok Sweiger.
