Students Gain Honors At Film Festival

The Spanish classes at Pattonsburg High School entered three films in the 11th Annual Foreign Language Film Festival, held on April 6, 2018 at the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg.  Approximately 16 schools entered over 100 films in Spanish, French, Chinese, or German. The students wrote their own scripts, acted in, directed, and edited their films.

 

Spanish I (Brittani Adams, Patrick Cowley, Cody Crabtree, Carter Crone, Dakota Eaton, Autumn Fredericks, Blake Hulett, Madison Hulett, Hannah McDaniel, Shelby Snider, Zachary Studer, and Grace Warner) entered the film “The Beauty Salon.”

 

Spanish II A (Sunnie Adler, Madison Hummer, Connor Ireland, Trevor Ireland, Kadence Johnson, Devon Mikes-Lawrence, and Kirsten Slessman) entered  “The Script,” which earned 1st place comedy and 2nd place movie, elementary level; 1st place comedy, 1st place script, 3rd place movie, and 3rd place use of technology, Spanish of all levels; and 1st place comedy of all languages submitted.  

 

“The Black Room,” entered by Spanish II B (Justin Booth, Peyton Jones, and Jackson Zamora),  won 1st place mystery and 1st place movie, elementary level; 2nd place movie and use of technology, Spanish of all levels; and 3rd place movie of all languages submitted.
