New Staff For The Panthers
The beginning of the school year finds many new faces, along with changes in staff for the Pattonsburg R-II School District.
Alan McCrary, former Pattonsburg high school math teacher for 15 years, is serving a new role as elementary principal. Taking his place in the math department is Rick Lin from Gallatin, who previously served as an administrator and teacher in the Gallatin School District. The new counselor is Kristin Etherton from Gower. She is replacing Lacey Henry who took a position in the Cameron School District. Arah Gay, a Gallatin graduate who has previously taught in Norborne, Stet, and Allen, Kansas will be directing the music-band-choir programs for the district. High School English will be instructed by Jon Sullivan from Savannah. His prior position was with the St. Joseph School District. The special ed department finds two new employees, Cindy Naber, who will serve as SPED director and Kitty Sutton, special ed instructor.
Other new elementary additions include Angie McCrary who is teaching Kindergarten. She is also serving as Parents as Teachers (PAT) adviser. Samantha Oram, a Gilman City native with be instructing third graders in the district.
Staff changes include: Mary Thatcher, school secretary, Kristen Nalle, part-time cook, and Gene Thatcher night custodian. The district is fully staffed and ready for the new year.
